Dr. Craig Bow, Ph. D.
Dr. Bow has over 40 years of international mining experience across all stages, including key contributions to the advancement of Sibanye-Stillwater’s PGE mines from initial exploration through to a positive production decision. In addition to being a recognized expert on global PGE-Ni systems, Dr. Bow was part of the team responsible for the multi-million ounce Arctic Platinum partnership with Gold Fields Ltd., and Outokumpu in Finland. He was formerly Exploration Manager, North America for Gold Fields and has led numerous technical programs for Cyprus Amax, Newcrest, and AngloGold Ashanti. Dr. Bow holds a Ph.D. in geology from the University of Oregon, is a Qualified Person with the American Institute of Professional Geologists, and a member of the Society of Economic Geologists.
Dr. David Broughton, Ph.D.
Senior Technical Advisor
Dr. David Broughton has received multiple awards for his more than 30 years’ work in mineral exploration, including the discovery of two major mineral deposits with Ivanhoe Mines, where he is currently Senior Advisor, Exploration and Geology. From 2008 to 2016 he was Executive Vice President Exploration for Ivanplats, now Ivanhoe Mines. During his tenure with Ivanhoe Mines the world-class Flatreef PGE-Ni-Cu-Au (Bushveld Complex) and Kamoa Cu (Central African Copperbelt) deposits were discovered. He was co-awarded AME BC’s 2016 Colin Spence Award for Excellence in Global Mineral Exploration (Flatreef discovery) and PDAC’s 2015 Thayer Lindsley Award for International Mineral Discovery (Kamoa). In addition to his time at Ivanhoe Mines, Dr. Broughton has held senior exploration roles with Phelps Dodge, Freeport, and Cyprus Amax.
Dr. Broughton received a BSc. (Hons) and a MSc. in Earth Sciences from the University of Waterloo and a Ph.D. in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines. He is a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists, the Geological Association of Canada, and the Geological Society of South Africa. He received a BSc. (Hons) and an MSc. in Earth Sciences from the University of Waterloo and a Ph.D. in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines.
Mike Ostensen, P.Geo
Mr. Ostenson has extensive experience in exploration, mine development and mining in the Stillwater Complex, including the roles of VP Exploration/Qualified Person with Premium Exploration, Exploration Geologist for Beartooth Platinum, and Ore Grade Control Geologist with Stillwater Mining Company. Mr. Ostenson has a Bachelor of Science (Earth Sciences) from the Montana State University, and also worked as a Gold Mine Geologist with AngloGold.
Justin Modroo, P.Geo
Mr. Modroo has 20 years of mineral exploration experience, including as a Geophysical Consultant with Premium Exploration and Beartooth Platinum in the Stillwater Complex as well as with other North American exploration projects. Mr. Modroo’s has extensive first-hand knowledge of the geology and geophysical characteristics of the Stillwater Complex as well as the historic project data. Mr. Modroo has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysical Engineering and a Masters of Science in Geophysics from the Colorado School of Mines.
Douglas Warkentin, P.Eng
Metallurgy and Mineral Processing
Mr. Warkentin is a Metallurgical and Process Development Consultant with over 30 years of experience in the mining and mineral processing industries. Currently Senior Metallurgist at Kemetco Research Inc. in Richmond, British Columbia, he has conducted mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, minewater treatment and resource recovery on a broad array of base, precious and high-tech metals projects for international clients. He was a co-founder of Group Ten Metals and served on the Company’s Board to July 2014.
Garth Kirkham, P.Geo; P.Geoph
Mr. Kirkham has over 34 years experience in the mineral exploration industry as a board member, leader, and geoscientist. He has numerous professional designations and awards for his work. Mr. Kirkham heads Kirkham Geosystems Ltd and was a founding director of Group Ten.
Brian Cloney, CPA
Mr. Cloney has over 35 years experience of public accounting and financial consulting experience with a particular focus on the mining sector, holding the role of Chief Financial Officer with a number of publicly-traded resource companies. Mr. Cloney was a Director of Group Ten from March 2014 to June 2016.
